A semi gravy dish prepared with fresh squid
Ingredients
1/2 kg Squid
2 numbers Onions
3 numbers Tomato
1 teaspoon Turmeric
2 tablespoons chillipowder
1 tablespoon Garlic paste
1 tablespoon Ginger paste
to taste Mustard seed
to taste Curry leaves
to taste Salt
Steps
- Heat 2 tbsp oil and add the mustard and curry leaves to crackle
- Add the Chilli powder and turmeric powder
- Now add the tomatoes (chopped long thin) and fry till they are slightly browned and becomes the consistency of a paste
- Add the ginger and garlic paste and let them blend in.
- Now add salt and the onions (sliced long thin). Sautee till the onions are soft and the color changes.
- Cook this for 10 minutes by continuously stirring
- Now add the cleaned chopped squid and cook for 7 minutes.
