Ingredients
1 lb Fish slices- cleaned and patted dry (I used Salmon here)
1 tbsp Turmeric powder
1 tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder
1 tbsp Coriander powder
1/2 tbsp Jeera (cumin) powder
1 tbsp Salt
Oil to fry
Recipe
1. Mix all the masala powders in a bowl along with salt and set aside
2. Pour oil in a shallow pan to the level where it would cover upto half of the fish slice. Heat up until just smoking
3. Coat each piece of fish evenly on all sides with the dry masala so that the raw fish is not visible
4. Place the fish pieces into the heated oil. Let sit on one side for 5-7 minutes or until a nice brown crust forms
5. Turn the fish over to cook the other side and let sit for another 5-7 minutes
6. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before serving
Optionally, squeeze the juice of a lemon on the fish just before serving
