
Ingredients
1.5 cups Toor dal
3/4 cup Onion (chopped)
1 sprig Curry leaves (chopped)
1 tbsp Ginger (finely chopped)
2 Green Chillies (finely chopped)
1/2 tbsp Dry red chilli flakes
Salt to taste
Recipe
1. Soak toor dal (split pigeon peas) for 3-4 hours
2. Drain and grind coarsely along with salt
3. Add chopped onions, ginger, curry leaves, green chillies & dry red chilli flakes
4. Form small patties and deep fry
One of the most easiest and satisfying snacks out there
Reminds me of the train journeys I made decades ago !! Hot tea and Parippu vada was the staple diet on those long trips 🙂
